Welcome to the new Plovermuir Holiday Cottages website. Here you will find information on our self catering holiday cottages in Angus, Scotland. We hope you will take some time to look through our two beautiful country cottages and perhaps allow us to welcome you in person for a short break or a week or two's holiday in the County of Angus here at the foot of the Angus Glens.

Whether you just want to chill out and admire the views like the one at the top of this page, or whether your preference is to have a warm comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful Towns and Glens of Angus, booking a stay at Plovermuir self catering holiday cottages will give you the ideal place from which to start.

There are two delightful holiday cottages situated on either side of the east end of the Vale of Strathmore in Angus.

Plovermuir Cottage is a stylish and spacious steading conversion which offers a high standard of comfort in a peaceful farm setting. It sits in an elevated setting with partial views over the Vale of Strathmore The cottage makes a quiet but central base from which to explore this fascinating area. The self catering cottage sleeps two in a double bedroom and there is also a bed settee in the lounge.

Kirk Cottage at Kinnettles is situated in the small hamlet of Kirkton of Kinnettles, in the lea of the Sidlaw Hills. It is truly traditional in a real Scottish way, yet has been tastefully modernised bringing this delightful retreat into the 21st century. This self catering cottage has two bedrooms, one double and one twin.

Situated near to Kirriemuir, home of Peter Pan, known as the Gateway to the Glens and the county town of Forfar, both holiday cottages are also ideally situated to explore the coastal towns of Carnoustie, Arbroath and Montrose. Within easy reach by car, are the famous Angus Glens of Isla, Clova, Prosen, Lethnot and Esk. Dundee, the City of Discovery and the Fair City of Perth. The holiday cottages are owned and operated by Ian and Lorna Johnston who live here in Angus in nearby Plovermuir Farm. Ian is a semi retired farmer who has personally specified and supervised the modernisation of both cottages and Lorna's skill and experience as an interior designer shines through in the internal furnishings and decoration. Together they have worked hard to make sure that your stay will be a relaxed and comfortable experience.
